Amneal Pharmaceuticals is more than just a global pharmaceutical company. It’s a company with purpose at the heart of what they do.

And that means going above and beyond to drive impact in the community. With their strong entrepreneurial spirit, they’ve been able to foster a unique environment where people are encouraged to connect and bring their best selves to work every day.

But with the onset of the recent pandemic and the shift of office and field-based colleagues to remote working,

there was a strong need to unite their employees. Searching for a prompt, effective way that would help them re-connect their employees, emphasise personal wellness, and also provide aid to communities affected by COVID-19, they turned to Personify Health and their charity partner Americares.

The Personify GO experience

Once Amneal launched Personify GO, they were amazed by their people’s engagement and excitement. The chat feature on Personify GO provided a great avenue for employees to keep building connections and cheer each other

on. Even helping foster connections between colleagues from different offices and locations. And giving a voice to people in the company who were just new or usually quieter.

“It fostered connections that otherwise wouldn’t have been there, even if we were in the office”, says Bryan.

From light-hearted banter to sharing funny jokes and interesting pictures from their walks. “It was just everything Amneal needed at the time…you know the things that make a team”, says Steve. It’s true that the key to strengthening bonds and relationships between colleagues is giving them something other than work to talk about. And helps to cultivate culture that is vital to employee engagement and teamwork. But to achieve this with a remote workforce is more difficult. Hence why fun digital wellbeing solutions are gaining popularity.

On top of this it appeared that everyone was excited to get out and about after the doom and gloom of the pandemic. “People were so tired of being cooped up…it was almost like “YES! This is our reason to get outside and enhance that sense of team!” exclaims Steve.

The Results

was made to Americares’ COVID-19 relief efforts.

For an extra dose of motivation, Amneal tied company- funded donations to Americares for every step milestone reached. The result? More engagement. And more steps.

With employees raving to smash the next goal so they could continue to help donate more money to those in need. And whoa, did those steps and donations flow in! Over 500 employees collectively walked 87,249,424 steps, exceeding the goal of 74,000,000 steps.

Partnership & communication success

Supporting them along their road to success was consistent communications. The Amneal team made sure to keep their employees up to date with stories of how their donations were helping local communities. And reading about these heartfelt stories and images was much more impactful then seeing dollar figure amounts. For example, thanks to their fundraising efforts, Americares was able to provide disinfectant wipes that enabled high-risk patients from low-income backgrounds to safely pick up their medicines.

Another piece of the pie’s success was attributed to the support they received from their Client Success Associate at Personify Health. Pleasantly surprised by just how much support they received, made them feel that their wellbeing vendor had become a wellbeing partner

What’s next?

After achieving so much this time round, what’s next on the cards for Amneal? Certainly continuing to drive more impact and making healthy possible for disadvantaged communities.
