Who are you?

 

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to fill the role of Vice President of Data Operations (Engineering). Reporting directly into the CTO of Personify Health – VP of Data Operations will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of data operations in collaboration with the Engineering Steering Team, Enterprise Data Platform leadership and cross functional operational leaders in the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare data management and operational leadership.

 

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:  

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive data strategies to support business objectives and enhance data-driven decision-making.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to align data operations with organizational goals.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of data management teams, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, service level execution and client satisfaction.
    • Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, quality, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Ensure Reporting and Metrics are in place to provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and KPIs.
  • Data Governance and Compliance:
    • Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and security.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy laws.
  • Innovation and Technology:
    • Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance data capabilities and operations.
    • Implement advanced data centric tools and systems to support decision-making.
    • Own the Vendor Management for data operations technologies and coordinate with external vendors and partners as needed for MBRs, enhancements, and budget.
  • Team Management and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data professionals to achieve operational excellence.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Liaise with various departments to ensure data operations meet business needs and regulatory requirements.
    • Communicate data insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Budget Management:
    • Prepare and manage departmental budgets in alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Implement cost control measures as needed.
  • Client Satisfaction:
    • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through regular communication and feedback.
    • Address client concerns and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Quality Assurance:?Maintain high standards for data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Process Enhancement: Instill a culture of ongoing advancement within data operations teams and the broader organization to refine and improve data-handling processes and workflows.

What you bring to the Personify Health team:

 

In order to represent the best of what we have to offer you come to us with a multitude of positive attributes including:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in data management or healthcare analytics preferred.
  • TPA Industry experience and scaling TPA data operations experience would be a plus.
  • Experience with SAFe agile and tools such as JIRA highly preferred.
  • 10+years of managing data focused projects in a healthcare domain.
  • 10+ years of experience working in a healthcare domain.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise with program management of data pipeline integrations, and leading process optimization.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and data quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Executive presence and willingness to ask tough questions and drive issues to resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives and communicate status, issues, and risks to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated success of managing significant and complex operations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Project Management:?Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Data Operations:?Familiarity with data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipelines.
  • Analytics:?Understanding of data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
  • Change Leadership:?Ability to drive organizational change and adoption.
  • Stakeholder Management:?Effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving:?Analytical mindset to address complex data challenges.
  • 5% or less travel.

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $200,000 to $225,000. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for 15% target bonus/variable compensation as well as health, dental, vision, mental health and other benefits.
