Who are you?
Personify Health is hiring an experienced Software Development Engineer in Testing II (SDET II) who will design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test cases for core data storage in our Analytics Engineering team. This person will support the success of the analytics engineering team by developing high quality, robust test cases and system testing.
This role is responsible for reducing the overall time to complete data pipeline regression testing while helping to maintain the high level of quality required for our data storage environments. In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:
Works collaboratively with a team of analytics developers and data engineers, ensuring high quality delivery of features and bug fixes to maintain and support current production applications.
Participate in scoping and estimating processes to support sprint planning.
Establish and uphold data quality best practices supporting high quality delivery of client requirements.
Serve as a subject matter expert on HealthComp’s products, services, and client-facing value.
Stays informed of new and emerging data pipeline automation testing methodologies.
Applies strong analytical and technical skills to understand, define, research, and resolve everyday data storage issues.
Design, develop and maintain custom test scripts, software, and infrastructure for automated functional, performance and stress testing of data storage environment.
Analyze test results and create reports to present to developers and project leaders.
Work with developers providing feedback on product design and testability.
Supports daily data pipeline monitoring, including checking production processes and/or jobs, system performance, system maintenance, etc.
Provides on-call support as needed.
Create and maintain documentation and process guidance for all projects.
All other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
2+ years' experience as an Automation Test Engineer or equivalent, with experience delivering high quality automation scripts (not just record/playback) from scratch and via enhancements to existing automation systems while utilizing testing best practices.
You also take pride in offering the following Core Skills, Competencies, and Characteristics:
Proficiency with relational databases including writing queries.
Previous experience working with cloud-based data storage applications is strongly desired.
Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies to support Agile planning and work estimation.
Experience with distributed source code control (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket)
Knowledge of agile software development suite of tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability and dedication to meeting aggressive deadlines while ensuring quality delivery.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred experience in health insurance industry

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for 10% target bonus/variable compensation as well as health, dental, vision, mental health and other benefits.
