You can also create a gift budget or make some gifts yourself.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your presence is a present,\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/10.1177\/0265407517724600\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">time with loved ones<\/a>\u202fis shown to make us happier than more stuff anyway. \u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The stressor: unreasonable expectations\u202f&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why it causes stress:<\/strong>&nbsp;It may be the \u201cmost wonderful time of the year,\u201d but that kind of pressure can result in unrealistic expectations. It\u2019s easy to overbook when there\u2019s so much to do. When you\u2019re worrying about everyone else this time of year, chances are you don\u2019t have enough time to devote to yourself.\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What you can do:<\/strong>\u202fHowever, making sure to maintain healthy habits is even more important for managing stress.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Exercise regularly or just bundle up and take a walk outside when that family gathering gets overwhelming.
