Right? &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wrong!&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unless you wanted to tick the \u2018wellbeing washing\u2019 box, of course.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That email about taking breaks from your CEO is meaningless unless you\u2019re empowering your people to actually take breaks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Appointing untrained Mental Health First Aiders won\u2019t do any good if they\u2019re not trained and don\u2019t have the time to support employees.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wellbeing washing perpetuates a false sense of support and can leave employees feeling unheard and unsupported in their personal and professional lives.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The simple truth: if you want a thriving, healthy, and happy workforce, you&nbsp;<em>need<\/em>&nbsp;to prioritise employee wellbeing.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But, if you\u2019re reading this, chances are, you probably want to do and be better.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, here are&nbsp;<strong>10 acts of wellbeing washing you\u2019ll want to avoid&nbsp;<\/strong>if you want to sincerely invest in your employees\u2019 wellbeing:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"1\">\n<li><strong>Appointing mental health first aiders<\/strong>&nbsp;without providing proper training and support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Organising occasional wellbeing events<\/strong>&nbsp;without investing in long-term health and wellbeing of employees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sharing resources for mental health awareness days<\/strong>, but not actively addressing the underlying factors that contribute to poor mental health<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Offering superficial wellness benefits<\/strong>&nbsp;like gym memberships and healthy snacks, without addressing deeper issues like poor work-life balance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Conducting one-off surveys<\/strong>&nbsp;without following up or taking meaningful action<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Promoting a \u201cculture of wellbeing\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;without providing resources or policies that support your employees\u2019 wellbeing, such as flexible working hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Displaying motivational wellbeing posters<\/strong>\u00a0without building a\u00a0<a
