Not literally, of course!
Board certification – or the voluntary process whereby a physician undergoes certification beyond medical licensure – is something we should all hope for and applaud but also something mostly assumed by today’s patients. In short, it’s a qualification that’s lost some luster.
So what do today’s patients – including highly visual and persnickety millennials – look for in choosing a provider or other healthcare provider?
Looking down will answer that – as in down at your smart phone or other personal communication device. With the swipe of a thumb, patients increasingly experience those who may soon very well care for them over a lifetime in how they look and what they say. This is accomplished mainly through online video (Video will make up 82 percent of all internet traffic in 2021, according to Cisco, an international networking equipment company.)
Physicians and others in healthcare have just a few seconds (most studies say six) to make an impression and differentiate themselves from competitors.
So at Personify Health we ask, What are you doing in the digital space to impress upon your prospective patients your personality, rapport and skills to instill trust and earn their business?
