Personify Health announces that David W. Frederiksen has been elected vice president of the Wilmington Chapter of the North Carolina Medical Group Management Association (NCMGMA). Frederiksen serves as director of business development for Personify Health, the healthcare arm of Wilmington-based Bon’s Eye Marketing.
“I’m honored to be elected to this position,” said Frederiksen, who began his healthcare marketing career at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. “Healthcare has never been so dynamic and uncertain. At MGMA you get to meet and know local practice managers and other healthcare professionals who contribute to and make tomorrow’s healthcare decisions.”
A national organization headquartered in Englewood, CO, the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) was founded in 1926 to “empower medical group practices to innovate and create meaningful change in healthcare.” MGMA has a membership of more than 40,000 medical practice administrators, executives, and leaders, and represents more than 12,500 organizations of all sizes, types, structures and specialties that deliver almost half of the healthcare in the United States.
“Our newly elected Board brings a diverse spectrum of healthcare expertise and personality to our 50 members who serve the healthcare needs of our coastal community,” said Erinn M. Beekman, outgoing chapter president and senior consultant at Cornerstone Business Advisors. “David’s healthcare marketing expertise, in addition to his energy, will surely impact the organization, its members and interests.”
